If you had x-ray vision, and you can see through anything, wouldn't you see through everything and actually see nothing?

Sigh... The end of the holidays is coming and the Block Tests are starting... I'm so not prepared for them... My first paper is on Tuesday which means I have 2 more days... Whoa crazy, man... And I haven't started on some subjects... Ok, actually not some... I only started on physics... And I'm not even doing the TYS and stuff... I'm just reading through the lecture notes, memorizing the definitions... So totally gonna die... My first papers are chem and physics, and I haven't even STARTED on chem... Hoo, boy... Let's hope I can still do well... For chem at least... Sigh... Is it even possible to do well without studying? Siao ah..... And still have math.... Math math math math math math math.... This one confirm sure die... Vectors is still alien to me along with other topics... Chem... Hmm... Ionic Equilibria (although very simple to everyone else) is totally a dead-end for me... I'm just hoping that I can answer the other chem topics questions correctly... And get an A... Woo! Isn't that the dream...

Hai.... Oh well... I'm just very sian... Dun wanna study at all... Which is why I'm writing this in the first place... To waste time so that I dun have to study... Ah damn.... I already knew that for the 'A' levels, I wouldn't be working as hard as I did for 'O' levels... Not that I worked exceptionally hard for the O's... I think my feelings now are the same as in Sec 4 before the exams... Haha... I think it should be written here before, in 2005... Where I was saying it is the start of my downfall... Haha...

Oh well, back to physics...

Btw, I was just thinking... Imagine you are on top of a train moving at the speed of sound and you transmit a sound (let's say a beep) every second in the opposite direction of the train (backwards). Let's say there's a man on the tracks behind the train receiving the beeps. Wad will be the rate of beeps he receives? Put it another way: Will he still hear the beeps 1 second away from each other?

I'm thinking it should be MORE than 1 second apart... As in, the beeps are heard more than 1 second away from each other... Here's why (i think): The speed of sound is constant, 330 m/s (not impt here actually) However, the distance between the sound transmittor and the sound receiver increases every second (becos the train is moving away from the receiver) Hence

Haha, I spotted something wrong with my supposed answer... But the truth is, I dunno... Haha... And another thing: Wad if this time, the sound is not in the opposite direction of the train? Let's say the person transmit a sound forwards, with the receiver standing again on the tracks, but in front and at a distance away from the oncoming train (quite suicidal, dun you think?).

Hmm... I think I will follow up on this in later posts... Haha... Dunno when that will be... But I must get back to my physics now...

I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed

Wow... Haha... In the last post I mentioned "1 month 1 post... Not bad..." Haha... Looks like I missed the May post... Anyway... Can't be helped... Was quite busy during May... Especially the last week of May... Had the street soccer competition organised by some class and I was leaving for Spain on the night of the last day of school... Haha... Anyway, let's talk about the street soccer comp... =)

There were only 16 teams altogether... So we were divided into 4 groups of 4 teams... Anyway, our group had 2 J1 teams and another J2 team... Our 1st match was against the pai kia team... Haha, that's how I remember them... I saw the pai kia before in school long before the competition... and his pants were like, wad the hell... I would think if he wore his pants at his waist (or hips, like any other normal person), his school pants would be more of a three-quarter pants... Man... I bet when he pees, he doesn't even have to unzip his pants, just pull out his underwear... Lol... Anyway that was our first match... We scored first through Steiner, so it was 1-0 to us... Then they scored twice to make it 2-1... And that was the half-time score I think... We were losing to J1 pai kias!! Omg! They were like damn rough and damn attitude... But I think they were rough becos we started it... Haha... Anyway, 1 of the guys zam my face at a freekick... Haha... Then kena scolded by the teacher/referee... "Have I blown my whistle for you to start the freekick? You dun start until I blow my whistle!! And did I say it was direct freekick?" Haha... Aiya wadever la... Lucky I bought and wore my spectacle hooks... If not my glasses would start imitating Superman and fly around (and more than 1 count, too!) Anyway, we managed to equalise, again through Steiner... So it was 2-2... And guess wad? You zam my face, I score the winner... HAHAHA... It was quite an easy goal... just a tap-in with my left foot... And so we won our first match 3-2... Yippee...

Our 2nd match was against the team called "Luke's Team"... Lol... Haha... Luke is just the captain for that team... But wadever ok? His team was our biggest rival in our group... The only other J2 team besides us in our group... Anyway, we started out like shit... Haha... By half-time, we were losing 3-0... Tsk tsk... they even managed to score by shooting against the wall and into the goal... Not that our goalkeeper was that great... But come to think of it, for that to happen, the goalie's reflexes couldn't be that fast... And if I remembered correctly, the ball went into his near post... which means that his positioning was like shit also... Haha... Sorry for the criticism, if the goalie ever sees this... but hopefully not... Anyway all's well that ends well... Well, quite well... Anyway, after half-time, Steiner scored 2 goals (again) to make it 3-2... Could a comeback be possible? Wooh... The tension~... Haha... Anyway, guess wad? I managed to score the equalizing goal... Woo hoo! It was a damn nice goal, man... Haha... I was taking the ball out of my own half... And I was waiting for the ball to cross the half-way line so that I can shoot... When the ball touched the half-way line, I started to swing my leg back... Which means that the ball was in the opponent's half when I shot... And so I shot to the far post and scored! Yeah~... Wad's more, their goalie was damn good, and I managed to score past him from such a distance... Haha... Anyway the match ended like that... From us 3-0 down at half-time to 3-3 at full-time... Sounds familiar? Think Istanbul, man... Haha... And I heard someone shout "Eh... Penalty leh!" Haha... Anyway, moving on... We thrashed the oppenent 7-0 (i think...) in our next match... But I didn't score any goal for that match... Haha... Didn't have to anyway... Haha...

On to the knock-out stage... Our first match against some j2 team... His catholic high friends call him "lao3 liu2"... I also dunno why... dun need to know also... He was the pro-est player in their team... Anyway we thrashed their team 5-0 without Steiner (heh heh) with me contributing 1 goal... Haha... Again scored from a distance... I was on the left side of the court... I was taking the ball out of my half and as soon as I had the chance, I shot, with my left foot... It went into the far post and the goalie didn't even move... Haha! Not bad... For someone defending... Makes me wonder why I was defender and not attacker in the first place... Hmm... Oh well... Doesn't matter... Anyway we were on to the semi-finals... Where we had to face the S11 team, arguably the strongest team in the whole comp (not counting us... heh heh) It was damn irritating cos we were supposed to meet them in the FINAL (both of our teams even agreed to meet in the finals) , not the semis... And it was originally planned out like that, until the organisers decided to change the system... And hence we had to play the S11 team in the semis... Haiz... We lost to them 4-2... And I think I should take some responsibility for that... Tsk tsk... I still remember their last goal, the guy was free like anything... And I was supposed to cover that area... But I went up to support the tussle for the ball near the centre of the court... Sigh... And also, for the previous matches, I managed to saved my team by scoring the winning goal and equalizer... But this time, I couldn't do it... Hai... Just when they needed me, I couldn't do it... Anyway, they won the whole competition by beating the other finalist (J1) 9-1... Like wad the hell... Our semis were the 2 strongest teams and the other semis were 2 J1 (somewad noob) teams... HAI... Oh well... I managed to score 3 goals in 5 games... as a defender... Funny thing was 2 of them were with my left foot and the other my right... Haha... Can't wait to play street soccer again...
