wow, woke up at 7.00, went back to sleep, then woke up again at 7.30 to prepare to go to school for co. damn tired siah... actually got a really weird dream... dreamt that we percussion had to play for some racial harmony thing again (every year for racial harmony the percussionist from different races will put together a performance for the school. chinese drums would come from the co, indian drums would come from tldds or something, malay drums would come from mldds or whatever and, er, western would come from band) and that one of us has to play the xiao gu, and the other has to play the......(if i remembered correctly) tao gu?!? then i was thinking, what the hell is that?!? and they were saying, "tao gu lah, you dun know?" and i was like, "such nonsense also have??" then they finally said, "aiya, you know what is tabla? tao gu is tabla lor..." then i said, "ok..." so i decided that i will play the xiao gu and melvin will play the tabla...he then started complaining, "wah lao...why me? such a lame instrument..." and i replied, "because you are indian, and tabla is an indian instrument" and then i woke up.

actually i get this kind of weird dreams almost everyday... must be not enough sleep...sigh... anyway, today's co was not so bad, those yangqin people went back to practising their yangqin (instead of bugging me in percussion) and i kept chasing melvin to practise his xuan zi wu qu on xylophone. it's actually quite difficult and even i can't play lor, so i am just getting him to master the piece. then there's another 2 people who stop practising every time i leave the room, then when i re-enter the room and ask them why they not practising, they just shut up and practise like nothing happened. bastard siah...

anyways, thursday is the starting day of the drumming course... whew! i can't wait... i still have to buy my drumsticks... i was thinking of getting the red one with white end, looks quite cool...

it's almost two weeks since the last blog (not that i got nothing to write, i actually have tons to write, hah) a few reasons for this though... number one, my com keeps rebooting after starting up and it takes almost 30 minutes to finally be able to use the com...sigh... number two, writing a new post means i have to talk about daryl ho (yes i am going to talk about him) and believe me, just thinking about him can make me want to pontang the next co practice.

anyways, lots of things have happened since the last post. for example, the paragon thing on 28 November is cancelled (probably because we are too lousy). but really, i dun know whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. yes, it may confirm the fact that our co suck (think i care? well, actually i do), but it also means that i dun have to rush here and there since i have a drum course lesson in the afternoon on that day and the concert thingy is most likely to be held in the afternoon/evening and we would have to go there early to prepare. we also finished our camp proposal (finally!) which was becoming sort of a drag. we were planning to pass it up on an earlier date but it always got later and later...
we also met up with the RGCO committee to discuss the exchange programme which would be on 21 December (i think it should be correct). anyway i just found out that their percussion SL, gillian (or kiok kia, haha) doesn't know how to play bumblebee on the xylophone... what a relief for me... i was so scared that she will thrash me... hmmx... i think i better practise bumblebee... haha...

for consecutive da zu practices, daryl ho has been cocking up like free. it's like what the hell? it totally says REST on the scores and he still continues to play during that 1 bar rest. and it's like, panic siah, the tempo is 100 and he is playing at 18o... hello??? this is percussion??? if you dun concentrate on pai zi then what you concentrate on? zhen pai also can play wrongly...seriously, i fear for the percussion teacher who's coming to teach us. after teaching (or trying to teach) daryl ho he would surely be thinking of an early retirement and what he had done to deserve this torture... then there's another guy who keeps hitting the timpani at the middle (ouch!) and another who uses the tambourine as his footrest and another who regularly skips co practices (mondays, wednesdays, fridays, saturdays = volleyball training; tuesdays, thursdays = competition) he skipped so many practices and he thinks he's so pro, playing during practices (those that he came) with water bottles and wadever, while he's not.

now i seriously dun think we even deserve a c.o.p in the syf next year
